An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the small and dedicated team on Ward 33. If you have the drive and the passion for promoting high quality patient care, patient experience and patient safety then this is the job for you. We are looking for a nurse who is passionate about women's healthcare, with sound clinical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills, to work on Ward 33. We also have an Emergency Gynae Assessment Unit which incorporates an early pregnancy assessment clinic. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in both of these areas. It is not essential for you to have gynae experience but some surgical experience in a UK based acute setting is advantageous. You will have the full support of the Ward Manager and Matron, who are keen to support and develop your skills and knowledge to help you reach your full potential. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation and evaluation of the highest standard of care for the patients. They will be able to work closely with all members of the team ensuring efficient and effective communication in order to deliver a high quality service to the patient and their relatives. They will have the opportunity to develop their organisational and clinical skills within this post. We can offer full time or part time position and flexible working considered. Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent. The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 500,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex. The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country. We employ over 6,500 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites. You will be expected to attend the Trust’s Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic: [email protected]), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm. Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check atenhanced level.
