Job description
Freedom's Networks team are currently recruiting for Surveyor / Carder to work on our long-term contract with UKPN to deliver LV Overhead Line works across the eastern footprint of UKPN's EPN’s network to be based in the Essex Region. The surveyor will work as a loan worker reporting to a Project Manager / Supervisor, A Van will be supplied with a Fuel card and options to work 5x 8 hours days or 4 x 10 Hour days Duties will include Full ESQCR Survey of the LV OHL’s, Services and Poles to bring the OHL to current ESQCR Standards which will entail the below : Complete on-site Pre Works-Risk Assessment to identify any risks for OHL Teams prior to works commencing. Condition reports on poles, Services, and Recording of Assets. Conductor Heights, Conductor Types, Pole Conditions, Pole Sizes, Network Running Conditions. On site survey / assessments to provide solutions Low ground clearance issues and ESQCR Defects. On site planning and annotation of maps to refurbish OHL to current ESQCR Standards. Conformation and recording of agreements to work form Customers / Landowners. Informing Landowners and Public of Works.Site Visits to resolve access issues and customer questions as and when required. On site Carding and Reminder Carding for Planned Power Outages HV & LV. Record of all works required on site, Item by Item. Photographs and evidence of survey onto handheld tablet device. Requirements: Practical experience of Overhead Lines wood pole works up to 11kv - Desirable Full driving licence A strong understanding of LV DNO Networks and Understanding of Plans. Customer Service Skills and Patience. First aid at work Desirable Flexible approach top working hours.
