Job descriptionWe are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Birmingham based Logistics team. What will I be doing? Warehouse Operatives are responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all warehouse goods. Key responsibilities of the role Receiving, checking off and booking in of supplier deliveries Picking and packing of orders for dispatch Sortation of Stock received from suppliers and other sites Moving of stock by hand or with lifting equipment or machines Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security at all times in the working environment to ensure own safety and safety of others Ensuring all goods are stored appropriately and in designated locations Loading goods for dispatch Input data regarding stock and inventory on to computerised system Carrying out stock counts as and when required Processing customer and supplier returns as per company procedures Ensuring all relevant paperwork is kept up to date, located in the relevant place and kept securely stored in line with GDPR regulations Ensuring that all lifting and moving of products is carried out in line with manual handling procedures Handling of hazardous materials in an appropriate manner Keeping areas of work clean and tidy at all times You may be required by your line manager or above to do other general tasks or projects that are relevant to your position What are we looking for?
